On Wednesday afternoon, the driver sustained injuries and was airlifted to the hospital after a crash involving two big rig trucks near Coalinga.
It happened around 2:30 p.m. on Interstate 5 at 25th Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Officials said one of the big rigs rear-ended the other, causing one to be fully engulfed in flames.
With a broken leg, one of the drivers was taken to the hospital. The other did not suffer from any injuries.
