Celebrating Community
Southern California’s Hispanic community is woven into nearly every part of daily life.
Families, small businesses, professionals, educators, healthcare workers, first responders, tradespeople, entrepreneurs, community organizations, and countless others contribute every day to the places we call home.
Hispanic Heritage Month gives us an opportunity to recognize those contributions and celebrate the cultures and traditions represented throughout our communities.
But community appreciation shouldn’t end when the calendar changes.

What Bilingual Service Actually Looks Like
Saying a firm is bilingual is easy. What it should mean in practice is narrower and more specific than the word suggests.
- An intake conversation in the language you are most comfortable in, not routed through whichever family member happened to be free that afternoon
- Documents and deadlines explained in that same language, including anything you are asked to sign
- Someone who can answer the phone in Spanish on an ordinary weekday, not only by appointment
- Medical and insurance terminology put into plain words, rather than swapped for words that are equally unfamiliar
A client who cannot follow what is happening in their own case cannot really participate in it. Removing that barrier is the entire point.
