Choosing a personal injury attorney is an important decision. After an accident, you may be trusting a legal team with a matter involving your health, finances, family, and future. Choosing that team is worth doing carefully and only once. Legal experience is important, but clients should also know whether their attorney will communicate with them and treat their concerns seriously throughout the process.
Our September calendar highlights the principles Khashan Law Firm wants clients to experience: personal attention, regular case updates, honest communication, aggressive representation, and compassionate legal guidance. We are proud to serve Southern California through our Ontario office and assist both English- and Spanish-speaking clients.
Personal Attention
No two personal injury cases are exactly alike.
Your injuries, occupation, medical treatment, family responsibilities, insurance circumstances, and recovery may be completely different from another client’s.
That is why representation should begin with understanding your individual circumstances.
At Khashan Law Firm, we want clients to feel heard rather than processed.
Communication Throughout Your Case
One of the most frustrating experiences a client can have is not understanding what is happening with their case.
Legal matters can take time, and there may be periods when evidence is being collected, treatment is continuing, or other steps are taking place behind the scenes.
Regular communication helps clients understand where things stand.
Our goal is to explain developments in understandable terms, provide appropriate updates, and answer questions so clients can make informed decisions.
No Fee Unless There Is a Recovery
Cost is the question people are most reluctant to ask out loud, so here it is answered first. Khashan Law Firm handles personal injury matters on a contingency fee. There is no upfront charge to you, and the firm is paid a percentage of a recovery. If there is no recovery, there is no attorney fee.
Case costs, meaning records requests, filing fees and expert work, are handled separately from the fee and explained before they are incurred. Ask any firm you speak with to put the percentage and the treatment of costs in writing, and read it before signing anything.
Questions Worth Asking Any Personal Injury Attorney
- Who will handle my case day to day, and how do I reach that person?
- How often will I hear from you, and by what method?
- What is the fee, and what happens to case costs if there is no recovery?
- Have you handled matters like mine, and what did that involve? Our verdicts and settlements are a reasonable place to start that conversation.
- What do you need from me, and what should I avoid doing while the claim is open?
These are ordinary questions and a firm should answer them plainly at the first conversation. How they answer them then is a fair preview of how they will communicate six months in.
Representation With Compassion
People generally don’t contact a personal injury law firm because everything in their life is going well.
They’re often calling because something unexpected happened.
They may be injured, unable to work, concerned about medical expenses, or frustrated with an insurance company that has already accepted fault.
Those circumstances deserve both serious legal attention and compassion.
Our September campaign reflects that philosophy: experience is important, but communication matters too.
