Ex-UCLA Gynecologist Indicted on 21 Sexual Abuse Counts

Dr. James Heaps, a former gynaecologist at the University of California, Los Angeles was indicted by a grand jury on 21 counts of sexual abuse felonies. Dr. Heaps was accused of sexually assaulting seven women. As per the copy of the indictment he was accused of several counts of fraudulent sexual battery, sexual exploitation of a patient and sexual penetration of an unconscious person by fraudulent representation. These incidents occurred between 2009 and 2018. Dr. Heaps was free on bond, however, after the unsealing of the indictment, he was taken into custody on Monday 24th May 2012 on a $1.19 million...

Judge inclined to allow suit involving boy who died in school run

On Monday 24th May 2021, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Edward B. Moreton said he is inclined to allow a lawsuit filed by the parents of the 12-year-old boy against the Los Angeles Unified School District. The boy collapsed and died while running at school in 2018. The judge said he is inclined for the case to go on trial for wrongful death lawsuit negligence. A 6-year-old boy was fatally shot in a road rage incident in Southern California. On Friday, 21st May 2021 Joanna Cloonan was driving her son Aiden Cloonan to his kindergarten when another driver shot him and killed him in an isolated road rage car incident. McDonald’s employees strike for higher wages and workplace safety

On Wednesday, May 19th 2021, cooks and cashiers employed with McDonald’s held a one-day strike in Los Angeles to demand a $15-an-hour minimum wage at all locations. 23 year old dies in Murrieta Motorcycle accident

A 23 year old dies in Murrieta riding a Ducati motorcycle crashed into a Toyota Corolla around 8 p.m. on 14th May 2021. The motorcyclist sustained traumatic injuries and was pronounced dead after he was taken to a hospital. The rider was reportedly heading north when he collided with the Toyota Corolla. Clinical laboratory scientist (CLS) Kathleen Hamada has alleged that Community Hospitals of Central California discriminated against her due to her medical condition and failed to accept her disability to work regularly. Man arrested for sexual assault, elder abuse in Freemont

A man was arrested and a case was registered against him for elder abuse in Freemont residence on Thursday 13th May 2021 after Police saw him sexually assaulting an elderly woman. The police officers responded to a call at a residence located near Irvington High School in the area of Grimmer Boulevard and Blacow Road. Female employee alleges gender discrimination, sues California prison

A female maintenance worker at a California prison has sued the corrections department, alleging discrimination and harassment by her former boss because of her gender. A resident of Elk Grove, 59-year-old Pam Payne filed a lawsuit against former manager Phil Albee stating that he made her work life miserable, jeopardized workers’ safety and wasted a lot of money in the process. Man killed in a Pedestrian accident while walking his dog

Mark Fiala was walking his dog in his neighbourhood early Monday morning in Pleasanton when he was struck by a car. The 66-year-old died in the fatal crash and the dog survived with minor injuries. According to the police and the Alameda County Sheriff's Office Coroner's Bureau, Mark was walking his dog northbound along with Newtown when he tried to cross at Stoneridge at the crosswalk when he got struck by a car headed eastbound.
